Traditional Massage
Swedish Massage is the most traditional of all techniques and is taught to all massage therapy students. It consists of a combination of five basic strokes - effleurage, petrissage, friction, tapotement, and vibration which are used to facilitate circulation and relaxation. The client, covered with a sheet, lays on a massage table. Only the area of the body being worked on is exposed.

Deep Tissue Massage is a general term describing various techniques that take traditional massage strokes to a deeper level, affecting the deeper musculature and tissues of the body.

Sports Massage is a collection of techniques used to enhance athletic performance and recovery after sports events. Pre-event massage is used to stimulate muscles and increase circulation.
